OUR FIRST BETH COULSON POST

Here in Illinois, we have a pristine example of RINOism in the person of Beth "Scozzafava" Coulson. Currently the state senator in the 10th District, Beth is trying to win the nomination to replace Mark Kirk as he runs for senate.

Now, Beth loves unions...SEIU is one of her biggest supporters...but she also is a huge fan of government run health care.

In fact, back in 2004, she voted PRESENT on HB 2268 - aka, the Health Care Justice Act.

http://ilga.gov/legislation/BillStatus.asp?DocNum=2268&GAID=3&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=3499&SessionID=3&GA=93

Among other things, the Bill provided, "that the State of Illinois shall implement a health care plan that provides access to a full range of preventive, acute, and long-term health services."

Oh, and it also would have cost the taxpayers of Illinois anywhere from $2.6 - $4 billion (with a B) a year...but who's counting?

But that's not all!

Funny little coincidence...turns out, this was the same Bill pushed by then IL. State Senator, Barack Obama.

So what, you ask?

Well, just ask yourself this: If Beth Coulson didn't oppose Barack Obama's health care plans then, why would she oppose them now?

Is it really worth taking that risk next November?

A real conservative would fight to stop the government takeover of health care, not vote "PRESENT."

Beth "Scozzafava" Coulson...Congrats on being the inaugural subject of the RINO REPORT.

Welcome to the RINO Report!

Feel free to use this blog as a resource for deciding who best exemplifies the conservative principles of: lower taxes, smaller government, smarter spending, and a strong military.

Common sense is the mantra here.

There are a lot of so-called Republicans who have more in common with Noam Chomsky than they do with the principles of limited government.

The RINO Report will serve as a barometer - and yes, a BS detector - when it comes to the claims of some wannabe candidates.

Make no mistake - there is no litmus test...there is no need to "purge" the impure...Leave that to the fanatics. This is just a common sense guide to calling out people who claim to hold conservative principles, all the while acting and governing in a way that would make Ronald Reagan's head spin.

The ultimate goal, for all true conservatives/Republicans, should be to help get quality people elected to Congress next Fall.

We need to put a stop to the out-of-control spending and government intrusion in our lives.

We can only do that with real conservatives...Not RINO'S....
